THIS MONTH AT CHRISTIAN TEMPLE
Due to Covid-19 precautions, our services of worship for the month of January will be offered online but not in-person. We will send out further word later in the month on how we will proceed with worship in February and beyond. Thank you all for your understanding and your prayers. Stay safe everyone while we weather this serious but temporary storm!
COVID NEWS
Unfortunately, our pastor tested positive for Covid on Wednesday, January 5th which means he will be quarantined until January 15th. He will be working from home throughout that time and hopes to be back in the office by Tuesday, January 18th. The good news is that, thanks to the vaccine and the booster, symptoms have been mild.
THE PASTOR SEARCH COMMITTTEE NEEDS YOUR HELP!
We are currently hard at work, doing the important tasks needed to help us identify a candidate for our next pastor. Part of this process is filling out a Congregational Profile that potential candidates will see to provide them information about our church. To help us complete this profile, we have composed a questionnaire to allow you to provide input about what our church means to you and what you desire in our next pastor.

WOMEN'S GROUP MEETS MONDAY, JANUARY 10TH (7 PM)
The Women's Group will be meeting Monday, January 10th at 7 PM via Zoom. The movie is still to be decided. Please watch for an email coming soo! We will watch the movie on our own and discuss it on Monday! Email Jayna at jaynapowell74@gmail.com if you would like to join! All women welcome!
NINE O’CLOCK FORUM KICKS OFF THE NEW YEAR WITH A SERIES LED BY OUR “OWN” JOHN CHEADLE RICH
Beginning this Sunday, John Rich will be leading our discussion on Sunday mornings, focusing on the scriptural and personal bases for the various calls he has felt throughout his ministry. Here’s the schedule:
January 9th- “Jesus’ Way of Non-Violence” what does it mean to be non-violent in the way Jesus asks us during these times.
January 16th- “Call Stories” How are we called to do what we do with our lives?
January 23rd- “Economic Justice for our Times” How are we called to work toward the Realm of God Jesus envisioned?
January 30th- “Healing and Health”- How can we be healers in the name of Christ?
WATSON HALL- NEW YEAR SALE! (By Appt Only)
The New Year is always a good time for a change! Watson Hall Montessori School is in the process of selling a portion of its classroom furniture and educational toys. So much stuff accumulates over the years! If you are interested in purchasing some of these items, please contact Kenda Watson at kenkenwatson78@gmail.com She would be able to tell you a general description of what is left and also set up a date/time for you to view these items.

KIDS CHOIR WELCOMES ALL KIDS!
Each Sunday from 10:15-10:45, the Kids Choir meets on Zoom to learn about Jesus through music. We'd love to have your child join us! The Zoom link is posted each week in the Sunday information. Hope to you there! We will begin Kids Choir later in the month.
