THE SEED NEWSLETTER
August 13, 2023
Dear Christian Temple Family,
Have you noticed that our sign hasn't changed since Pentecost? Well there's a reason for that. But first, you must know that I'm not superstitious; just a little stitious** (for all of the Office fans out there).
We changed the sign in anticipation of our Pentecost celebration. It just so happened that the Orioles were about to debut the City Connect jerseys and used a poem in which "You can't clip these wings," was a refrain. It couldn't have been any more perfect for a Pentecost sign.
But then the Orioles got into 1st place and were on a roll. Every time we swore we were going to change it, they would pull out an 8th or 9th inning victory, defying the odds. So for the sake of Orioles fans everywhere--and with Howard Saks' endorsement--we've decided we cannot change the sign. At this point, it would be irresponsible and no one wants that.
Grace and peace (and Go O's)
Katie
**Yes, I was the type of athlete, once upon a time, who would refuse to wash my jersey during the playoffs, or would wear the same grass-stained socks as the game prior when we pulled off an upset of the top team.
