Mission

Our congregation contributes to the work of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) regionally and nationally. Through this giving we support:

· Mission work overseas and in the United States

· Colleges and seminaries

· Disaster relief

· Camp and conference centers in Western Maryland and Bethany Beach, Delaware

· New church development

· Regional and general assemblies

· Our congregation also participates in many local outreach efforts, such as:

· Catonsville Emergency Assistance Network

· Habitat for Humanity

· Lazarus Caucus - providing meals for the shelter

· CROP Walk

It is our conviction that our faith comes alive when we give time and effort to the mission of the church. Our "hands on" mission projects include:

· Semi-annual blood drives

· 9-11 Respond to the Call annual workday

· Habitat for Humanity workdays

· Thanksgiving dinner for members of the community

· Monthly work days in New Windsor to work in an international gift shop (SERRV) whose mission is to support artists and craftspersons in developing countries.

· Mission trips for children youth and adults

· Kaleidoscope! Summer Arts Camp for children entering Grades 3 through 8

· Justice Ministry
